I don't know if you guys are familiar with Myron Mixon, world renown BBQ Grand Champion.....he swears by lighter fluid...I guess if it's good enough for Myron, it's good enough for anyone.....

Lighter Fluid, really guys?  You must have been infiltrated by a spy.. How else can you explain it?
I see nothing short of 3 performers and that stuff is out? It hurts me, really hurts me. 8)

The Happy cooker does look scared ;D I love all of the pictures so far, seeing faces that go with the name and all of the great looking kettles! 8)

The problem may be......don't see a SEAT BELT on that Happy Cooker !!!!

I don't know if you guys are familiar with Miron Mixon, world renown BBQ Grand Champion.....he swears by lighter fluid...I guess if it's good enough for Miron, it's good enough for anyone.....

Yeah, Myron's cool.....lighter fluid, briskets @ 375 degrees, butts @ 400, always wins........

He was on the Craig Ferguson show a couple times & neither one of them could understand each other's accent......Craig asked him about the Georgia accent & his reply was great "Oh, we speak the King''s English....y'know....Elivs......"

I paid him his due in my Smoke Ring taglines......

If you happen to see the Trigg rib shootout episode, at his house with 5 or 6 tv BBQ personality types, that's what Myron said under his breath about one of the judges while they were  watching the scoring......... 8)

Mixon...I dig him. Takes no shit and can cook his ass off. I'd have a huge ego too if I was as successful as he is.

I didn't get a close up of it at the event and I left mine in IL for now- no room on the carry on for the unexpected Weber swag!  ;D Maybe one of the other guys can post up a pic.

PBE those pics look great, from a photographers point of view too. You've got some nice glass from what I can see.

Thanks! It's nothing crazy, just a Nikon 50mm 1.8G. My wife recently got an F3 and took the 50mm 1.4D that I normally use and permanently affixed it haha. Personally I don't notice much difference between the two nifty 50's the way I use it but I prefer the older version without the built in AF motor due to size. It does shoot cooler than my other lenses though which is annoying when post processing. I would use my 85 1.4 but it's too much work for composition by foot, lol.

Those 50mm are great lenses, I've got the 1.8 version on my canon.  It's my go too for a lot of work, just can't beat the focal length or speed. If your using Lightroom by chance make a preset to warm the pics up for that lens. Either way they look great! Those few of the Seville had me drooling! (because of the grill and the shot) can't wait to see more!

Lawrence, thanks a million for all of the great photos.  And thanks to Jeff for hosting this great event-- it really is a great piece of history, and obviously inspirational for all of us pervers.
