I was doing some browsing on the Lowe's and Home Depot websites and noticed they both had the Weber Snap Check Thermometer.  I also noticed that both websites had just 2 customer reviews for the product.  It was odd that on both websites they had the EXACT same 2 customer reviews from the SAME two customers.  I wonder if Weber is supplying the vendors with reviews for their own products?  After posting this I did notice on the Lowe's website it states the reviews are from Weber.com.

At that price I'm surprised you read the reviews. That's more then a thermapen.

I bought one with a slightly damaged box from the Weber store in Palatine
for $40.  They had some hanging on a hook out front for $104!

So far I like it very much.

BTW that place is dangerous!
Our visit just happened to coincide with the clearance sale.
$500 later my wife and I managed to pull ourselves away.

HoosierKettle, in one of those reviews the guy states he thinks the Weber Snap Check is better than the high dollar thermometers.  At $90 I consider it to be one of the high dollar thermometers.  I wonder what he thinks a high dollar thermometer is?

Have both - thermapen and snap check. IMHO snap check wins the competition

Weber SC is IMO bit faster and more accurate. Furthermore, the display is by far better readable.

I've noticed the same thing recently while looking at appliances and stuff for the casa on build and wayfair. The reviews indicate either (or both) that they came from the manufacturer's site and/or "this review was obtained as a paid promotion" meaning they pay retire folks to surf the web all day writing reviews on stuff. I only pay heed to those that state the reviewer is a "verified purchaser." I don't doubt that there are many doing the modern version of stuffing envelopes for extra income and they may not even own or ever used the product they are "reviewing."
