18" Patent Pending, transitional wheels (plastic + rubber)

I really didn't check it out super well yet.  Says patent pending on the top vent.  Bottom vents are stuck in position for now.  Leg sockets seem reasonably solidly attached, at least for now.  Wheels seemed to be the transitional wheels that were plastic with rubber treads & I got the impression that the legs are steel, not aluminum (but I could be wrong and maybe it's just some rust stain from the bowl).  Ash pan is basicaly squashed & looks like someone was trying to peel a chunk off like a banana peel or something.
If I understand correctly, it's likely a 71-72 versus a 69-70.
I'll have to clean it up to confirm the inside is not faded like the outside, to answer my own question from another thread.

I have the exact same PP 18" grill and cooking grate, but mine has steel wheels.

The outside is faded but not as much as yours and inside isn't faded at all.

It's my go to grill at the moment and is assisted by the 26er I use for for storage and prep.

I put that grill in my line up any day.

I don't have a steelie wheelie yet.  A couple years back, before joining this group, I saw a Weber grill that looked a bit beat at a flea market.  I didn't even bother asking how much because someone had rigged some sort of weird triangular pan at the bottom of the legs, apparently because they lost the ash pan & the wire thing to hold the legs together.  Based on where I saw it, it would have been cheap.  I didn't even bother walking over to take a closer look.  If I had, I might have noticed the triangular pan was actually manufactured as a triangle, which might have been enough to alert me. 

Naturally, when I found this site & poked around, I realized what I had missed.  The one that got away!
