Hopefully you've got a replacement lid vent in the parts pile for it.  I have a newer lid vent sitting around if you want it.

Thanks Neil. As luck would have it, one of my donor kettles is an "A" code which I think is period correct for this kettle which would be somewhere around 79.

Congrats on finding elusive kettle. Most of the few that are out there are A code anyways including mine. We need some clean up pics.
