Weber charcoal
« on: May 01, 2018, 11:59:25 AM »
My Lowe’s stopped selling it and I found 2 bags at another one. I asked if it would be restocked and they said probably not. I wonder if it has been discontinued. That’s a shame. At 11.99 it was a bargain.

Leave it to big box stores to be both a blessing and a curse.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Back to Stubbs.

I haven’t used Stubbs yet but I will if I can’t get weber anymore. I will use it for long cooks exclusively and use ro for everything else. I’ve become disenchanted with kbb.

GFS Lump!! I swear I’m the only one who loves this stuff! Burns hot and long and has big pieces.
I do use RO briquettes when I’m pinching some serious pennies though.

I used to like lump bro until it jacked up a set of sweeps.  Now if I start to cook only on 3 wheelers then I may go back.

I noticed today that my home depot didn't have any. I'll be disappointed if it goes away [emoji24]

Started off at $20 a bag ...hard to build a customer base that way.  They should have started at a more reasonable price point.

ALL of the Lowes anywhere near me show zero inventory.

Home Despot stores all show good inventory but @ $17.47 a bag.

KBB 2 pack is $14.88 @ HD.

Here's hoping that one or both do the deep cuts around Memorial Day.

RO all the way here...
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

This is the same reason I won’t use lump in the one touch. I didn’t break one but I have gotten hung up a few times.
