Cowboy brand Charcoal briquettes

Anyone got experience with this brand?  I never liked their lump, too much random crap in it. But am willing to try anything once.

I have the lump... I have found screws, rocks, and nails. I WILL not buy Cowboy charcoal again, but that’s me. I know people that have found objects in the bag and still use it, I just won’t use it again.
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

Yep, same here, it became a game I was tired of playing, “what will I find today”....[emoji23]

Never tried their briqs, butt have tried their lump. As others have said, never again. It sucks.
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

Same company that makes Stubbs so probably the same as Stubbs. I haven’t used either and probably never will as long as I can get weber at a good price or ro briqs. I was always a diehard kbb fan but I probably won’t buy anymore. It’s just too much ash on a long cook.

Them modern day cowboys are tough! It's gonna take a lot more than screws, rocks, and nails to stop them from firin' up the grill for a good 'ole fashion country western bbq!

Let alone the lack of quality of the lump, you're PAYING for that debris they are using for weight! I would not trust  the briqs...

I’ve used the Weber briqs on numerous cooks, that stuff is legit.  It works well on long cooks and burns consistent. It’ll get hot too when needed. Price was a hinderance before, but no more.

This is hilarious, we should start a new thread, maybe go with @darko’s theme....
“Cracker Jack” charcoal thread...what’s the craziest thing you found in your charcoal bag?
