Weber 26.75 kettle question?
« on: March 24, 2018, 11:39:59 PM »
Does anyone know if the Weber 26.75 kettle has been in continual production every year since it's debut in 1962? Seems to me that I recall Weber stopped production of these for a few years and then brought them back out again? Does anyone have info on this? Thanks.
This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

I have read through the "grill history"  and the "old catalogs"  and i think they have always made the 26 kettle. I do know for fact that since right around 1980 they were only available black.

They stopped making them in the 90’s and started production with the newest generation model in 2009.

Mike, have they all had SS cook grates since the 2009 reboot? I looked for that and couldn't find an answer.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

According to the 2009 catalog, yes. But just the cook grate.

I’d be shocked if my ad code 26 is stainless but I will check it when I get home. It looks like any other plated grate I’ve had. I hope it is stainless.

I am almost certain my AD 26 is stainless cook grate
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I’ll be damned. My grate is stainless. I checked when I got home. I never knew.
