What a way to start the year when another member of the Australian WKC alerted me to this beauty for sale.

Story goes that when the seller recently purchased their new home they found her under a cover in a corner of the basement.
I would say it's been cooked on a handful of times at best and is in mint condition. It even comes with the original product catalogue from 1992 when it was new.
Needless to say I'm a very happy man right now.

Congratulations, that is a beauty. I would be very happy too. I wonder what happened to the cap for the front leg.

toebone

Not sure, I find more kettles missing that cap then I do with it.

Nice score!  I would love to find one in that shape.

Congratulations @toebone,

Interesting light but high fade on that. More caramel than chocolate

It is certainly different to all the other chocolate ones I own.

Well played toebone! Great looking kettle and a nice backstory. Those handles are very cool (don't know much about them). Nice work also to the member that passed on the tip.

The What's New From Weber booklet seems to have an early version of what is now the the Jumbo Joe on the front and the ears of corn look like they've been 'photoshopped' in?

Yeah he is a real good bloke, I've helped him out a few times and he happily returns the favour. The way the world should work.

Yeah I don't personally know much about them but it's known as an outrider.
