I've only ever had a 22.5 but one observation I've seen repeated a few times is that these large beasts are a bit heavier in fuel consumption.  You'll enjoy it though, there's plenty of room to spare in it and you won't need to worry about having long racks of ribs not fitting.

I have both and love them! Use my 22 for ribs and brisket and everything else on the 18. Lighting is right about more fuel consumption. Trick I use , is use your 18 ring for ribs in the 22. Helps conserve fuel and no problems keeping temp 225-250

I started with the 14, then 18, and got the 22 about a year ago and I love it! Especially not having to curl up ribs and fits a 16lb brisket nicely. I upgraded the door to a CB stainless, and it is worth it. Enjoy yours!

@wessonjb great tip, I will try the 18 ring in the 22.

Yup..i already had the cb door purchased and ss hardware...i was prepared earlier this spring for the 22".

So i assembled it with ss hardware and thankfully hex bolts.

I swapped the oem handle on the door with cb..so this baby is ss from day 1

I have only had a 22. It's a beast. I love it. Never had problem with temp getting out of control. I have the Cajun bandit door, coal ring and rotisserie. Such great quality. I need to get the 18 ring or make a smaller one from expanded steel. CB just came out with a wheel kit. https://www.cajunbandit.com/Wheel-Kit-With-Cylinder-Lock-Kit-Fits-22-5-WSM-p/22wcl.htm definitely thinking about getting it.

The cb doors are a must have...worked wonders on my 18".

Given the door size on the 22"...def need 1 for the 22"

Question..the 22" cb rotisserie ring..fits both the kettle and the 22" wsm?

Yes it fits both, that's the reason I bought it. You just flip it the other way.

regarding cb ring..that what i figured.. tks for confirming .. ill look forward to using mine on the wsm.

we think alike.. i bought both 18 and 22" cb door..scratch and dent and it was a great move.

the outside of both doors still had factory sticker seal .. the inside only had a few faint scratches.. who care what the inside of the door looks like that will be coated with grease after your first cook?
