Here's where I originally spotted it

Stopped in again today and checked out the top vent, small tab, Wood Dale! The snatch and grab wouldn't work here even if I was so inclined. Both times I've stopped different neighbors have came out to see if I needed something. The guy works off and on uneven schedules so I'm going to have to keep trying.
Knowing that it's a Wood Dale how much is too much ? I want it really bad but not really really stupid bad if you know what I mean.

That's a great looking 18. We need this story to finish with a happy ending!

It's an awesome grill, I bet he let's it go for a 20. I would go as high as $75 if I had too. I really hope you get it and put me first on your list if you ever decide to part with it. ;)

Have you left a note. I would tell him you are a collector and would take good care of it.  Then offer an upgrade, a new 18 and a bag of charcoal.  if this is on a regular route, I would leave a note everytime.  Just a follow up to the orginal note telling him you are still interested and when he is ready to call you.

I have successfully done that six or seven times.  I am working on a 50+ year old PK right now, she finally called back after 8 months and a half dozen notes.

Just get that grill!

Very exciting eastex.  I am downloading the GPS coordinates from your picture as I write this...Seriously, if it is too expensive let me know since it is probably in my driving range.

The metal top handle 18's are rare compared to the 22's it seems. This is indeed a treasure.

A Wood Dale is one of the older models that came with metal lid handles that were made before Weber expanded and moved to Arlington. The top vent will say Wood Dale.

Does anyone know exactly what year they made the move?
