Mother's Day cook
« on: May 15, 2017, 04:42:12 PM »
My bride had to work Mother's Day. My mother also came in Town which was nice, so I planned a Mother's Day dinner for this evening.
One thick cut black angus ribeye, one thin cut b/a ribeye and two prime filets. Made a herb butter to top with and was perfect with the steaks. Stick of butter, tbl of fresh rosemary, same amount of fresh thyme, little bit of shallot and minced garlic, s&p. Baked potatoes in the basement, corn cooked in the husk on the coals, removed then added to a black iron pan with cherry tomatoes, jalapeņo pepper, red pepper, topped with cilantro. Also, a couple roasted vidaila onions softened on the coals too.
Turned out very well and I made one hell of a mess!

Have a good one fella's and happy belated Mother's Day to the ladies out here. Hope ya'll enjoyed your families.

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...
