@cumminfourya Huge congratulations to you on scoring the WSCGC! Which Westlake location did you end up picking it up at? Looking forward to seeing more of this in action.

Thanks @Craig. Got it from the one on 144th and Center. Can't wait for my first cook. Got some warranty parts I was waiting on and know it's ready for the weekend!!! [emoji1303]

One of the things that bugs me about these Summits, or I guess confuses me is the cooking grates.  I don't understand why the 26 comes with a SS grate and these for all this money come with a standard grate.  They are standard grates correct?  And when it's time to replace it do you have to call Weber for one and how much are they going to costs?

It just feels like they should have included all SS hardware and grate on this guy.

Prices are getting to the temping area though.

I stopped into that Ace today to pick up some grass seed and noticed the tripod Summit display was missing. Someone must have snagged that after you got the BNIB Summit Center model.. Again, congrats and I'm jealous.

May i ask what the sale price was...and congrats.

I would break her in with a 1.5 inch boneless ribeye.

Or better yet...bone in  cut

They had the WSCGC for $1499.99 and the WSCG for $999.99

Good for you on your purchase!!
I am always surprised to see stores selling Weber grills with discounted pricing posted on this site.  In N California I never see a retailer with a price lower than the standard Weber list price.  A discount on a Summit would motivate me to make the purchase.

@erictag. I have my Ace connection investigating how westlake is able to offer that price because I'm a buyer at that price

I'm not sure if it is true, but I was told this particular Ace was not going to carry the summit charcoal any more. That is why they were selling them at that price till they were gone. I asked further about it and the way I understand it is the store buys them from Weber and can sell them for what they want. I probably understood it wrong but that is how I took it.
