Wow! Lesson learned. Always ask if you can buy the grill. They just might give it to you!

Sweet score!!!

I'm a little perplexed about the "picking up the check" remark though. If they offer to pay for a hard earned meal, they must pay. It's simple moving etiquette[emoji29]

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

I know......I was just so excited to get such a beautiful grill for free and only because I was at the right place at the right time.  Plus it's now the oldest grill I own.  I believe this is a 69-72.  It would be nice to know the exact year

She is the second owner that I know of.   She rescued it from an older neighbor a few years ago..... Not because she was a kettle enthusiast but she thought it was too nice to throw away.   She never got around to cleaning it and fixing the stuck dampers on the bowl and decided to let me have it

For some reason, I thought one of the member from here gifted you. Nevertheless, nice of her to do that. Really nice story.
