Kettle storage

Where do you keep your kettle when not being used?

Do you tie it down so it don't blow over? Or do you carry it to the garage?

I'd like to keep mine on the deck but worried it would blow over.

Keep it where it is handy for you and bungee or tie it down if you have frequent high winds. I live in town and do not get enough wind for it to be a problem.

I keep my two most frequently used in the garage. The rest in my basement, which is only a few feet from the patio door

How did you ever collect such a large collection of grills?
Do you compete or something?
Amazing

Small collection maybe..but I see some quality pieces.

@Joetee

You'll find yourself scanning CL for color and deals. Before long you find 30 kettles in your garage.

Keep my OTG and my WSM outside covered. Never had a problem with them blowing over. It would take a lot to get the WSM to blow over. I keep my fire bricks on the bottom rack of the OTG when not in use.

Never tied them down and keep a Walmart cover on all of them, outside, on my patio.

I have the really cheap light weber covers on my kettles and I had to get little hooks to keep the covers down during gusts but never any tipping issues.

We put our kettle in our shed for the winter since we really don't use it once we have freezes and snow. Take it back out in Spring

I use mine year round. We get some pretty bad storms in Ky. If it's that bad. We just wait a day out two.

Great that you do that. There have been some years we cooked over the winter on our gas grill, but so far not on our kettle.

Mine are mostly stored in my BBQ shed. A couple are in the garage rafters.

I just can't bear leaving my preciouses outside, even if they are covered.
I've got Webers. 10 - WSMs, 5 - 22.5" kettles, 2 - 18.5" kettle, 2 - SJS, 2 - SJP, 4 - WGA, 1 vintage Coolie Pan
