After seeing all the blue grills on here, I've had a bad case of the "must haves". Around here, not many Weber kettles come up for sale and the ones that do come up are black.
Well, on another forum, a friend listed a Weber bowl and lid for sale. And they were Blue! I immediately jumped on it. The seller was about 2 1/2 hours away and when some of the other guys saw that I was interested, they offered to help. These guys relayed the grill to me.
It turns out that the seller bought a new grill in 2012 and it started rusting around the welds and the handle on the lid. Weber replaced both pieces and he never did replace them. Just put the box in his barn.
I had enough parts and pieces to complete it but I've ordered a new ash sweep and ash catcher. Here she is!
