I read the topic about the new red kettles...
« on: April 06, 2017, 11:16:50 PM »
...and thought, "Not until November? I'd rather have something now. And I would rather have an MT."

So I ordered from Dickson BBQ online, then called them the next day and spoke with the very amiable Robert to arrange shipping, and got this beauty on it's way to Oildale.

And yeah, I've already got it hot and dirty. I put it together Monday night, cooked in it Tuesday and Wednesday. Focaccia bread pizza and enchiladas. Very good cooker, I like the lid bale and the cooking grate - although I might wire that center falls out section in place until I buy some accessories to stick into the hole. This kettle is impressive to look at and cook on.

And you know I like my Weber kettles hot and dirty like I like my...ok, you know how that goes.

That's awesome I am a sucker to have something unique and was just about to start investigating how to go about getting ahold of one of these

Would you mind sharing how you went about the process it says on their website they only ship to canada

Yes, they do have a spot that says something about only shipping to Canada. But if you push the order button, and if you read everything on the page, you will get the advice for US customers to select particular options, and then call the store.

And that's what I did. Thank heavens that I speak such fluent Canadianish, we were able to communicate very clearly. Robert was great to work with. And no, they won't throw in a few bags of ketchup chips and timhos coffee. You just get the kettle that you buy.

Congrats Jon. Such a beautiful grill. Sounds like you didn't bother letting her to warm up to ya, instead just got down and dirty!

It came to $305. A real bargain.

I don't know, I only looked at the Ivory.

Nice grill, and glad to see it working!  Man, I am a fan of these grills, but I can't just sit and admire them.  Put them to work and they're happy!
