All in one day..
« on: March 27, 2017, 09:25:11 PM »
So yesterday (sunday)  I was perusing CL and came across an ad for a free 22"...I email that I want it, he texts back "its on the curb" I tell forget because its an hour away and I dont want to chance it. He repies, "I'll bring it in if you want it"... Looking at the ad picture it was to tell, so I ask him, Black or Green?... He says green, I say pull it in, I'll be there in the morning! While working that one out, 2 more pop up, FREE, I email...its a beat to hell Red 22" AND a smokey joe. She contacts me today at work, she still has them, I say I'll come get them tonight after work...While at work, I get a CL alert, 2 webers, $25... It's a 22" Blue and another smokey joe. Here's the code rundown;  Red, backwards K..Green, EZ..Blue, C...1 smokey AT and 1 EI.... What a day baby!  Best of all, I got another Blue to replace the one I gave a friend. SO, without further Adieu,

Wow.
If you found any more you would need a bigger truck or a trailer to pull behind it.
Have you even had time to assemble the firepit?

I started cleaning up the kettles I brought home monday. First up was the blue, the blue is just a great color. I scraped it, disassembled it, did some Barkeepers Friend on the outside. Lid and bowl cleaned up great, triangle won't be too bad. legs will be some work. But really just wanted to use it last night, did a stir fry in my wok.  Tonight I started the green, I was "thumbing" through the forum last night and happened onto all the restore threads, not even meaning too. So, tonight I went a little further with the green.. I see where some of you guys even clean the inside of the bowl till it shines, I figure a good scraping is enough because I'm just going to use it. Well, with the green I washed down the interior of the bowl, even scraped down the rim of the bowl. Even though I don't usually do it, because I figure it'll ruin the "seal". I've seen others on here and really, I think the rim where the black inside rolls into the color of the exterior is about the sexiest looking part of the kettle. Tomorrow I will be doing the green lid. Heres the updated pics.
