Tonight I was moving my DE OTG out of the way and hit a small twig on the patio. Lid fell of and rolled on its top. No dents but some new scuffs and scratches. It was 3 hours ago and I'm still dwelling on it. Not happy with myself.

RumBar

I've dropped so many new lids I'm considering with any more new grills just dropping the lid right out of the box to get it over with. Still sucks though, sorry.

That sucks @RumBar ! At least this one is older and she already had rim rash from the previous owner. Still sucks.

I kicked myself for a month after dropping a copper top. It was hard to accept that I too was one of those idiots.  :'( :-\ :-X

But that was about 15 grills ago! I'm over it. Sort of.

Shit happens. At least it wasn't a flawless vintage yellow ;)

Darko

Big fucking deal! You scratched a  barbecue grill. That's the worst of your worries?

kettlebb

Right on @Troy

C'mon @Darko you know it sucks. Do I have bigger problems? Sure do, drop one of yours if it's no big deal.

I do hate dropping a lid. It pisses you off because you try not to and it happens anyway. I just dropped one on Wednesday. Still not sure what happened.

Honestly, I get it. Alas, I have some issues going on. It has just got to the point that I think that we bitch about bullshit issues.

My bad, I apologize.

kettlebb

No worries dude. We all have our moments and in the grand scheme of this life you're right. We just love these kettles like others love their whatever. Hope you get back on the + side of life man.

Lol! I almost dropped my Spring Green MT while moving it. The lid and all. Scared the crap out of me. I now lift the whole kettle when moving anything. It would suck big time if it happened to me, so I know how you feel.

Darko - hope the issue at hand is not something big, and whatever it is gets resolved soon. Good luck!

About 4-5 years ago we had a get together and I was cooking on one of my red 22's that I had just put new handles on and I took the lid off to hang it on the bowl and missed the damned hook and it crashed right on the pavement, a few choice words came out in front of my mother and my kids and neighbors, I was HOT when I did that. Caused a new lid bruise and all. I totally get it. It sucks! Yes, first world problems for sure. Darko, I hope everything is going okay for you.
