Flower Power - Vintage 70's Weber Covers
« on: January 30, 2017, 02:15:02 PM »
I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there that think these old patterns are awful, but I love the damn things... 8)

They just scream 1970's and fit into the MBH era lineup perfectly in my opinion! Here are two that I've managed to find over the past couple years along with the corresponding catalogs:

The catalog on the left is dated 1973 and the other is from 77'

Blue\Red\White from 73'

And here is the Yellow\Orange\Green model from 77'

The Yellow\Orange\Green cover I received in a deal with a fellow WKC'r along with a Beautiful Lime MBH 22 (Seen to the extreme left of the last photo). Apparently it sat on that very same grill up in an attic for years and years which is kinda cool!

The Blue\Red\White one I recently snagged off eBay. Somehow the listing seemed to fly under the radar... either that or I am alone in my love for these old covers ;) Its more or less brand spankin' new and the colors are super vibrant. It was listed as used but appears to have never been out of the package until now...

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy!

Matt

Love them awesome, ugly, 70's covers!!!

I remember the red-white-blue one from eBay. I believe I started the bidding & was watching it, but forgot to raise my high bid before heading outta town.

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

I think they are pretty neat. Is there a Weber logo hidden in there somewhere?

+1  I'd get some if I can.

My parents place used to have same pattern ( one on the right ) wall papered kitchen which I hated growing up.  These covers are different.  I come to appreciate old/vintage Weber products, so these are really cool to me. I like both covers.

I agree, these are way cool! How come all the modern stuff can't have any character, all I get is a plain black cover with the corporate logo on it. Fortunately, I like the logo!
