Looks great. Is it faded or just dusty?  That vent rivet looks to shiny for it to have been an outside grill.

It's faded. I just used 0000 steel wool on it. It's super clean with light rust on the leg sockets

Could it be possible the faded black is a color since the rivet is clean???

Definitely started out as a black kettle.  I wonder if Weber used aluminum rivets for a period of time? Maybe it was left on a porch where the sun hit it but it wasn't subject to rain?  Who knows.   Either way, it's a great looking kettle with lots of years left!

Looks pretty Black. I have seen shots of a lot more faded than that.
