Told myself I wouldn't buy I've cause i'd never use it. Then I saw that copper thread,  then I saw this on LetGo. Couldn't resist. My family thinks I have problem know. Weberitis is legit.

Wonder if I upgrade it with the lid holder?

Sorry. I meant the issue with Weberitis.  Here, we don't see a problem.

Right. Many worse things to be addicted to. This IS an addiction. Even though I told myself I'm done buying grills I still check CL.  Congrats on the score!

No problem Darko, I think a little backasswords sometimes.

So has anyone seen a lid handle ever added to one? Think I read the silver is this one and gold has it. Would like to take it fishing with me if I can ever get my self to light a fire in it. My first new never been used Weber.

Thanks @Darko you just gave me an idea for my avatar with your signature and all. This is a picture of some house someone built that resembles a ufo in royse city tx. Drove past it a few times, kinda looks like a kettle I suppose. Looks like you just changed your sig though.  8)

I added the lid bale to mine. I used painters tape then measured 22 times, marked and drilled.

Then cut my grates to help with travel/full packability (word?) but they kept falling in. So I upgraded to the craycort cast iron grates.

Good luck and enjoy the Copper. I think I might have to cook on mine tomorrow if it's warm enough here.

How did you find the measurements from the top to know where to drill?

I had a Smokey Joe silver I rescued. I no longer have the silver in possession. I used the leg mounting holes as my measurement guides.
