Yes, I was offered that grill and a new gas grill with it.  I declined. :)

My lord.
Here's a question- would you have traded it for a charcoal summit?
Gorgeous.

Have to be the one to say it, but a Summit gasser and a Charcoal Summit for that ?  I'd have traded in a heart beat.  Especially given the grills that you manage to come across   :).    Heck, you'll find a nicer galley Que than this in a week or two   :P :P :P

Darko

i traded a brand new in box Simpsons grill for a Deluxe copper performer. I love the performer, but I do miss the Simpsons grill.

Hofy

Vintage for a vintage is the only trade I would make.
EE Kettle, 1974 JBK-360 Key Lime "The Fairway" , DR Genesis Gold

Me too.

I love the cooking, and whilst I love looking at other people's vintage cookers I'm not here for the collecting.

Having said that, I totally get it @harris92

There perhaps should be a 4th R for very special grillfellas who are truly dedicated

I wasn't interested in any of their new stuff. I did ask if they had
a NOS Flameco or Penthouse. They didn't.

JEBIV

i would definitely go for a Flameco or Penthouse @harris92 lol
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

harris92

@JEBIV   I have seen a Flamenco but not a Penthouse.  The "Bobs" in the ivory tower put the press on me regarding the galley que.

Maybe I should see if they are interested  in my NOS gas kettle ? Of course I don't have the contacts you do lol

Umm, press really? Sure. I wonder what story the press was looking for as it was originally Petey22686's grandfathers, no? Just sayin'

Not sure what the squawking is about, but you seem to have mistaken harris' use of the word "press".  Read it as "they put the squeeze" or "they really tried to put some pressure" or "they really tried to do a hard sell to get me to trade".

Yes,  I had to move fast on this one before the "Ivory Tower" saw it.  By the time they saw the Galley it was with me.  A couple years ago a buddy and I waited too long on the NOS ranch with white wheels.

@harris92

What if you could get one of those stainless Ranches that they use in their restaurants? Not vintage, but  very cool.
