Greetings. New member and first post. I am not new to Weber grills and have been fooling
around with them and enjoying them for many of my 66 years.
2 weeks ago, I decided to check the Akron/Canton Ohio CL to see if there were any vintage
WKs there for sale. The strange thing about this is that I rarely almost never check CL for
any reason. Well the first thing that popped up at the top of the list was an Imperial Sequoia
in copper mist for $25 !!!
It really surprised me and I called the seller immediately and she said that she still had it
and if I wanted it I had better come and get it. There had been other callers too.
Well I beat it down to Navarre Ohio, about 15 miles from where I live in Canal Fulton,
loaded it up and brought it home.
Information from this WKC website tells me that it falls into the 1976/77 range.
Very good condition needing only a couple of pieces of redwood and new grate and grill
and ash pan. Missing towel rings. Needs refinished. Axels are pretty rusty too.
I will provide restoration details later after the re-hab.
I realize that without photos I can not prove what I am saying is true but I hope that any
scoffers or jeerers will trust me and give me some time. I have not even started working
on it yet, just picking up some new parts and some redwood and stain. I'm somewhat
challenged when it comes to posting photos and things. I will have to wait until one of my
adult children comes over to help me post the pics.
However, if you live near me and really must see proof, PM me and you can come by
and see it for yourself.
WKC is a great resource and I appreciate the efforts of all who make it possible, thank you.
