Had a bachelor weekend needed to work on the house a little this weekend and well I started the weekend trip on Friday after work. Did my calls for work and headed north! On my way up started to think what I’m going to eat all I could think of was burgers. I rolled into town and needed the food for Friday and Saturday. I stopped at the local grocery store to get supplies.
Beer, Ground Chuck, Beer, Coleslaw, Bread, Pickles, Onions, potato salad, and eggs, now most would pickup all at one place the “local grocery store” but I’m not most
I only buy my eggs at the local bar! All fresh eggs and 18 for $3.00 and surprise, surprise, surprise what you sometimes get is worth the extra stop. Plus you can get a shot and beer!
The Burger!!!
2 Lbs – Ground Chuck
2 Tsp - Tastefully Simple “Garlic Garlic”
1 – Large Egg
½ - Medium Onion finely chopped
½ - Medium Onion Sliced thin
¼ - Cup Asiago Cheese Bread crumbs
½ Lb – Bacon
½ Cup – sharp cheddar
2 “BIG” Hamburger Buns
1 tbsp – Weber Seasoning, Roasted Garlic and Herb
½ Lb – Creamy Coleslaw
Famous Dave's Signature Spicy Pickle Chips
Started out by mixing the Ground Chuck lightly with the finely chopped Onion, “Weber”
Garlic and Herb, "Tastefully Simple” Garlic Garlic, Asiago Cheese Bread crumbs, Egg.
I formed 2 patties 1lb each. I then placed in freezer to firm up the patties
BTW This is the best burger I ever made in my life. I make a damn good burger normally but this has got to be the best I ever made. I think the Asiago Cheese Bread crumbs did it! I am still thinking of this burger as I write this
Would I change anything on this?
Yes…Yes I would! I would make 3 next time!
Start out with the onions
Seared the burgers on the cast iron pan after removing the onions then placed the burger off to the side.
Cooked the bacon and removed from pan then placed the burgers back into the cast iron pan with bacon grease, added grilled onions, bacon and sharp cheddar.
Finished the burgers to “Rare” because the wife was not with. Toasted the buns and topped with creamy coleslaw and Famous Dave's Signature Spicy Pickle Chips.
All fresh eggs and 18 for $3.00 and surprise, surprise, surprise what you sometimes get is worth the extra stop biggest egg I ever seen! I thought I would of had Triple Yolk Egg, but No
I'll tell you WKC members one thing! Food a bit higher in price, beer higher in price, but CHARCOAL!!!! in my town
WOW! I ran out and had to buy some. I will never run out up north again! In a small town the nearest Wallmart, Homedepot, or Marnards is 40min away I had to buy at Ace. 16.00 for 9lbs of Kingsford
. No more bought 300lbs this Monday 1/2 up north and 1/2 home
Enjoy and keep cooking/grillin
