I was in the local Walmart last night and saw a pallet of Kingsford "original" briquets - large bags - at $5 each.

Not sure - but in the past, such specials have often been offered nationwide.

20lbs or 18lbs?

I just picked up 2x 18.6lbs bags at home depot for $10 bucks last week (grabbed 5)

Weber has all kinds of bag sizes and weight so you have to do the $/lb conversion to figure out the best deal. Typical sales are in the $.30-33/lb range and the best sales are in the $.23-.27/lb price point.

Yes, saw the bags for $5 here too, but they were for the 12.9 lb bags. About $.39 a lb.
