Red MBH
« on: April 14, 2016, 09:58:25 AM »
I recently picked up this red MBH. I think it’s a 1978 model. Not pristine by any means, but it will be a fine cooker. The lid around the handles is beat up pretty bad, but the bowl is in fairly good shape and the leg holders are showing hardly any rust. It is missing one whitewall.

I did a quick clean up and put the vortex in to cook some wings. The color change was impressive!!  Next step is to give it a thorough cleaning and start using!!

I now have a black ’76 and this ’78 red head. I’m thinking a yellow ’77 would complete the trio

Handle area rash

Wings on!

color change!

Overall I'm quite happy with my latest addition

Wow, it turns to dark cherry!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
