Weber or not, that is the question
« on: February 27, 2013, 06:25:54 PM »
I saw this on the way to the kids soccer practice.  It was dark when we left, so I'll have to go by during the daytime.

Is it a brown Weber gas kettle, or the sneeky Happy Cooker???

I see what looks like a gas kettle. Not sure if I can make out it's color though...  :-\

Okay Ed, I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty to flip your picture and make it a little bigger.  It looks brown, and either it's a happy cooker or a gasser.  I don't see a tank which leads me to think it might be a happy cooker

It's kind of like a Weber Gas Kettle without the gas....  There has been a purple one for sale in around here for months, the lady said she would sell it to me for like $30.  I just never went to get it....

I like the wood ball handle< but what do you mean "Not gas"? It's a charcoal kettle designed to look like an old gasser? ???

I see the heat selector. If that means it adjust the charcoal height it's a stroke of genius. :o

I think that's it.  I will still drive by to verify, but by golly, it might be a Happy Cooker.

Thanks

Does anybody hear Jimmy Hindrix "Purple Haze" in their head, especially after AJ jumped on that purple grill lead?

I remember this one Brian is talking about.  It was for sale cheap...FOREVER out here on Clist.  I thought about it often too, but never moved on it.  From my recollection...it was sort of that purple, eggplant, burgundy type color we see on some of the Webers.
