Outstanding assist by @bear and congratulations to @Hogsy on scoring that gorgeous 1980 blue! I think the dark blue MBH's have become one of my favorite colors of the MBH era.

Spring has sprung in OZ so I've found some motivation to clean up my blue kettle. It's been a while since I've cleaned up a kettle and I forgot how therapeutic it can be
I started on the lid with these two tools

The usual caked on crud

After 15 minutes

Already looking like new, just needs wash down with some hot soapy water

The handle is in great shape just needs a light sand and to polish the vent

Pretty happy with how well the vent came up

Bowl and vents just need a clean, Polish and reshape

Forgot to get an after pic, but they came up as good as the lid
The ash pan is in good shape and just needed a clean and polish

Shiny

New wheels, cut and polish legs, removed rust from triangle and put back together

Back in the line up

Thanks again to @bear for agenting this, it's a great addition to my collection

Very cool good looking out @bear for a fellow WKC Member.
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

bear

Looks grate @Hogsy. Love the blues line up.

Happy to assist where I can for a grillfella.

I reckon I might have had a hand in 2 blues in that line up. Is that the 18 you got from Adelaide a few years ago via the old Aussie BBQ Forum, I remember spotting one buried in a gumtree ad that Jars assisted with shipping?

Hogsy

Yes that's the one @bear, those blue 18's are as rare as rocking horse shit out here

I dig the blue also! Makes me want one. Do they change color when they get hot? Purple I guess?

Great score @Hogsy. And it is a backwards B to boot(or is the way the pictures come out down under). You just need to talk Jeff out of the only one in existence blue 26" so you have a blue trifecta. (http://weberkettleclub.com/blog/2013/12/26/26-blue-kettle-flat-top/)

Great assist @bear.

The people in the WKC  really play well together.
