Thank you very much for the kind words! This one was a quick restore and the 78' is the new kettle... I didn't explain myself very well in the last post
It was already in real nice shape and quite clean on the outside. I gave it the usual once over - polished up the legs, triangle and ash pan, cleaned up the wheels and handle, and did a deep clean on the inside of the kettle. Most of the time spent was on the bowl interior and cleaning up all the vents but all in all it was a pretty easy process.
Here are the two kettles side by side. The photo doesn't even come close to showing the difference to the naked eye but you can see it a bit. The 78' is just a tiny step closer towards crimson in color and doesn't have as deep of a gloss to it.
