Nice to see another yellow rescued and saved! Excellent work! What is it with people painting these yellow kettles? This has to be the third or fourth one I've seen where someone wanted to disguise it's beauty. Do civilians (non Grillfellas) really not like yellows? If that's the case that's a shame because they are a sweet color. Congratulations on the score!

You did an incredible job. The original condition must have been disheartening, but you have made it look great.
Thanks for the compliment.  Was excited when I first saw that pretty yellow lid, but was definitely let down by the condition of the bowl.  Wouldn't let that deter me from going after it though.

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

Thank you sir.  Stripping the paint would've probably gone smoother if I'd have used your technique. BACON would definitely have saved me some time on this project.

Great Resto!! From looking at the before pics, I never would have thought it would turn out as well as it did.

Thanks.  I was a little worried that it wouldn't turn out alright before I started the resto.  That's why I waited a couple of months & kept myself busy with other Weber projects.

Thanksgiving fade. First cook on the yellow. Had a ham on the roti, so I put my coals to one side. This pic was after it calmed down. Wish I woulda taken a pic while the whole side was dark.
