It's OK. The lid handle and ash pan didn't match anyway      :o

Now we know why the demand, and prices, has gone up.

I'd like to know how he made the cuts so clean without losing all the porcelain.

The ones that i've cut weren't even close to being that clean

I've never tried cutting one , would a small fast Moto tool give you clean results  ?

I always thought a Weber hood scoop would look sweet on the Bronco :, maybe some smokey Joe hubcaps too

Destroy a red kettle and turn your car into a hooptie...common sense is so rare it should be a frickin' super hero power.

a cutoff wheel will give you a decently smooth edge. I didn't know the Purist group rolls like that haha.

Possibly. Seems like it would take forever though.
I used a jigsaw with a metal blade. It was terrible :(

Yeah someone has confused the meaning of the word "purist" with its polar opposite.

That domain shown in the picture is gone.

Apparently, butchering functional, iconic and collectable kettles for the juvenile fad of deleting a car's drivability and resale value wasn't a sustainable business model.

Cuts car wheels for a living in L.A. He ain't using a jigsaw or Dremel here!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
