I can make a white one,  but I need illustrator help from someone

@Troy

Illustrator, as in Adobe Illustrator?

I have CS6
Yes.  Know how to use it?  =D

I'd go for an inexpensive white. But there's something about a white shirt and black kettle that might remind me a little too much like Weber (the company) and not WKC. Colored kettle, white shirt?

And then I want a reproduction Weber apron, like the ones from the '50s or '60s. And maybe a pony too. Because I don't have a pony.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

i was planning on doing a yellow logo on a white shirt. I'm worried about the lettering being hard to read though.

black logo and black lettering on a white shirt would be the cheapest (single color, single side)

Pony!

Yellow on white would be hard. Red seems a little much. Maybe blue, or, I don't know, maybe, uh, Green!

Black on white would be cool. The large circle on the back. More expense, but a small pocket size logo on the front.

Does the printer require  ".ai"  format?

Printers can sometimes take a PDF but you'd want to design it in Illustrator first.

Yeah, but it seems the vector work is already done. I would think it just needs a color correction. Although, now that I think about it, makes sense if the original artwork is already in  .ai        ;D

Let's get do-it-yourself blanks and have your local airbrush buddy fill in your favorite kettle color....

I think I'd better go be quiet now              8)

@Troy I'm decent with illustrator - color changes, rotations etc etc I can do no problem. I like dazzo's white with black above. Even a plain white T with just the solid black "WKC kettle" and no other text might be cool. Front could have a smaller version on the chest but with "Weber Kettle Club" underneath. So many options 8)
