... at least in this case... thank your lucky stars for amazing people like @ramsfan!!

This grill was purchased on eBay and then Bob pulled a Hero move to pick it up and ship for me. In a funny twist of fate he had also purchased a cool accessory a few days earlier that I was selling in order to help fund the Yellow ;D This trade of sorts ended up working out extremely well for both of us in the end.

SO - thanks to the gentleman mentioned above I am the extremely proud new owner of a Yellow 22"!! The kettle looked good in the auction shots but you really couldn't tell what was grime and what was chipping etc... it turns out a lot of what appeared to be edge chipping was actually real nasty baked on grime. There was some very minor rim rash almost the whole way around the lid like they used to set it down on concrete or paving stones while grilling. After some tiny touch ups and about 5 hours of full on OCD cleanup etc I was left with my dream yellow!

Huge thank you again to Bob - just a pleasure to work with start to finish!

Now I'm going to crack a beer, enjoy the view and prepare for tonight's cook of Mac N' Cheese! 8)

Have a great weekend guys,

Matt

WOW!  Matt that grill is in such amazing shape. You scored big time on this one. Great job with the cleanup. It looks like you just took it out of the box brand new.

Congratulations!

That looks great Matt! Fantastic clean up job. Really impressive.  I'm glad I was able to help you out on this. I know how much you were wanting a yellow 22. Glad to see it arrived safely.
This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

Saugust

Wowzers!! What did you use to do the paint touch ups? How did you match the paint so closely?
