Weber Performer Silver
« on: January 27, 2015, 07:22:43 AM »
OK so I took advantage of the of the Home Depot clearance and netted two Silvers,  Historically this model has bothered me and I have thought they were worthless, especially in light of the fact that they did not have the master-touch.
I was going to resell them to make money to justify keeping a Q2000 that I also got.  However, this model is starting to grow on me.  right now my workhorse is a 22 year old blue master-touch.  I am considering cracking a box open and  putting one together for me.  Anyone put one of these together, do you like it?
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Standard Issue.......

Only thing I sometimes do is put in a small chrome mixing bowl for an ash pan...

I have owned 2 silvers, they cook just as great as any Weber, just without the convenience of the upgrade models.
Good Luck
