I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Funny. When I first started cooking I started off using paper but learned if it is windy like on the video.....That gets all over the place. Now I suck it up and buy those little cubes or tumble weeds to fire it up.

Something seems wrong. My Internet keeps saying that fan is $50.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

I suppose you could pile your coals in the center but could you imagine how long your grill would last if you started your charcoal touching the side like that with the fan blowing on it.

Chimney + Fan combo would have to take 10-15 mins off light up time
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Looks like a $3 product with a $50 price tag.

Chimney with 2 weber starter cubes will do a much better job for less.

Chimney and two cubes unless it's a summer TBT then I use lighter fluid.... :ducks to avoid being hit:

Have you guys seen the reviews for this POS on Amazon? I can't believe all the rave.  Man, if only these people bought a chimney starter to begin with lol.

Looks like a modern day version of the old weber Fire blowers as seen here
http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/old-fire-blower/
Or here in an old weber catalogue

I bet if it had Weber written on it, everyone would want one...
I think it's a great idea, o often use a heat gun in my Kamado to get the coals really going, but you have to stand there holding it. My main concern would be leaving it over the coals and it getting burnt from the hot coals.
Why couldn't you use it in combination with a chimney?
As for a POS I'd buy one at a more reasonable price.....I'll try anything to speed up start up time
