Our first ever turkey
« on: November 27, 2014, 08:43:35 PM »
My wife and I made a 11# turkey for thanksgiving. First time and it came out swell. Thanks for looking!

Rays of light hit our turkey as it goes on.

All done!

That looks fantastic !!!!

The WSM keeps the heat even all around so you don't get hot spots like the close proximity of a kettle......

Did you brine or otherwise fiddle w/ flavors?

    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!

Thanks, Ken. I was pleasantly surprised by the even coloring. It was a basic bird with an overnight salt rub and basic spices.
