Yes, Georgia is a Weber wasteland, but I got a cool surprise yesterday on CL.  A nice couple from South Africa brought the following across the ocean.  The grill is nice, really near perfect.  But check out what came with it:

I'm new to this sport, but I think this is a pretty shocking find!  Whatcha think?

GregS

but how do you make the grill marks?

no seriously, nice find in ay tee el.
I only use kettles with lid bales.

For a nearly 10 year old kettle she is looking very clean, and the Manturion griddle is pure bonus material. Sweet score.

Thanks for the link.  Actually, I believe the grill is nearly 20 years old!  The couple got this grill as an anniversary present.  So they packed it up with them when they moved here from S.A.  They kept it covered and rarely used it.  I'm gonna give it to a friend who is without grill.  I hope I can get the rust cleaned off the grates, as they appear to be in pretty good shape.

Are you interested in separating the griddle from the grill?

;D

Dude, relax your chicken.

I'm thinking about what to do with the griddle.  I'm wondering if it is a valuable enough trade item to help get me a grill with some color/age.  Certainly, I'm open to ideas from you members here!  I think the griddle would mean more to some of the more experienced collectors, while I'm just trying to get into the game.

You turn Dazzo loose with it, you'll see some amazing COOKING....collections aside....... :)

Sweet griddle!  But GA is not a Weber Wasteland.  That state might hold the first or  second most coveted collections of kettles when compared with other states!

Really?  I see so many folks on this site finding great old kettles on CL every day.  I haven't found one non-black kettle on CL in GA in months!  What am I missing?

But yeah, the griddle was a sweet surprise!
