I am sure the other local AZ guys would have my head on a spit if I shipped this one out of state. This kettle for right now is definitely a keeper! So your prizes are that you get to feel good knowing your kettles that well :o

Whoa....nice find and story.  that should clean up nicely with some TLC.  I think the top and bottom vents are SS.  Jeff has experience restoing a similar GQ in case you are looking for some tips/pointers.
