The pick-up (EDIT: POSTED PICS)
« on: June 26, 2014, 12:43:09 PM »
So heres what happened. Monday, saw craigslist and found a red kettle for 40 bucks. Looked good from the pics so i emailed the owner. He told me to come by anytime to take a look. Alias, i hit a road block in my plan. Wait?!? Whats this only 1 kettle rule at my house and why wasnt i informed?! No self-respecting weber kettle guy can only have just one right. Sadly, that was the case. Fast forward to last night. I just got off shift at midnight and l looked on craigslist again and behold the ad was gone. Great, now the weber red maybe in someones back yard who wont show respect. I hit the freebie section and he posted it there. FREE!!! Yes free, and it happened 5 min ago. I had to jump on it. Several emails later and behold the trophy! The lady in red is mine now as of 9AM, completely free. Came with 2 bags if charcoal, wood chips, and fluid. Its a J code. You can still faintly see the weber logo on the handles. The best part, if its free, the 1 kettle rule goes out the window. Here is my new lady in red:

Wow, THAT really worked out, didn't it?!  I'm looking forward to seeing the pics.

BTW, once you get two kettles, good luck keeping them from multiplying!

Kudos. You might have Weberitis if you have a one kettle rule and STILL check CL for kettles.

 Somebody's shinin' on you !!!!

You always wanted a RedHead......so not only does it go from you can't have more than one, to one's available for $40, to same one's available for free & you get it & the rule goes out the window & it's a REALLY NICE one..................... ;D

Personally, I'd like to see more stories go just like this !!!!!
"If you want it fancy there is BBQ spray paint at home depot for that. "
    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!
