Yep! But the fabricator in OZ didn't apply for a patent. I like the one in OZ better, the charcoal diffuser goes to flip grate and above the flip grate.

Thanks guys,
It looks good but it's not the complete package
The main pro's to my design are the lip on the diffuser that sits on the charcoal grate

It acts as a drip tray and diffuser . Simply line it with foil and you never have to worry about drip trays again. I've been using this system for over a year and it still looks new and works like a charm
The second thing he is lacking in the design is the large charcoal basket. The main point of the charcoal basket is to keep the heat off the side of the kettle, to prevent spalling
Whether I'm using the minion method or just cooking high heat indirect
Here's a pic of the side of the basket, as you can see there's plenty of spalling and the kettle bowl that I do most of my cooking in doesn't have a mark on it

To tell you the truth I don't use the vertical diffuser that much, I find the solid wall on charcoal basket does a good job of deflecting the heat
Still not a bad design he has there, I just wish I could produce them for $50
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Hogsy, is that stainless? I wish you were making these for mass production, but I'm sure the shipping would be a deal killer for those of us up in the states. Awesome job though Hogsy!  ;D

Thanks Chad, it's only Aluminium,
There's probably $10-$15 material in it ,it's the shipping that's a killer
In saying that it was pretty easy to make, using a piece of cardboard as a template on the charcoal grate.

Yep, saw the post with the template. That's one of many things on my to-do list :-)

I actually already considered that, but those pans are square.  (Square peg/round hole)   No workie!
