LE with Cajun Bandit conversion a NIB lid and exp. metal grate
« on: February 04, 2019, 08:24:51 PM »
Any suggestions or differences found from the WSM let me know. Looks like I will be cleaning and cooking on one real quick.

Saw a CL post for an LE and the CB smoker kit but $$ excuses excuses.

Price drops excuses excuses...

The Itis welts appear from the itching/CL refreshes

I name a price and bam

He is out of town! But he will take the price no haggle!
BUT it is not in the town its posted in its 2+ hrs away!?!

2hrs no problem when it's my idea but when it's a suprise well it sucks! He offers to meet half way in like 2 weeks.

Glad it worked out as most of the long CL plans don't work out so well. I ended up looking at the pics too much and not reading close enough and it actually came with a new unopened lid. The lid on the kettle was caked and I MEAN COVERED in carbon residue and was chipped in a few places on the rim. It will clean up well and fast.
He also had sheets of expanded metal on the charcoal grate.

After I clean it will be a mint LE a Clean chipped lid and a barely used SS smoker conversion kit: extension, grates, charcoal ring and heat diffuser for well less then the LE alone.

Minor note the cajun bandit heat diffuser seems really cheap either that or the dude swapped in a pizza pan on me. Honestly no complaints even if he did. It will cook.

I need some warm days now cause wet soft grill cleaning is outside work only!

Super jealous. I really need a cb stacker. I think the heat diffuser is just a stainless pizza pan. Never seen one in the flesh though.

Thanks for the heads up. You could tell the pan he had was used in the CB but I was assuming it would be some 304 plate I could use as a griddle. I noticed all the website pics mention the diffuser but dont really show it which means its probably just a cheapo.

Like I said still stoked and and ready to get it back together and cooking.
