How do you take the wheels off a 3rd gen performer? I couldn't figure it out looking at it :/

I think you pop the hubcaps off, and then take off the pushnut.

Chainsaw... :)

Yup, pop the hubcaps and remove the pushnut. Screw driver should do it.
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

Thanks @Darko @hawgheaven ! I'll give it a try when I get home, and then *hopefully* do it for real on a Craigslist pickup :D

I have also found a small wood chisel does it quite nicely... it has a thinner edge to get under the "stuff"...

They all work, but I use a small alternator bearing puller. Same idea as pulling a small bearing off the shaft with 2 hooks on either side pulling the push nut as you turn the screw against the end of the shaft. Works great without bending or damaging the push nut.
