I'm sorry Ron, But...

...green's the color of spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like a mountain
Or important like a river
Or tall like a tree

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why
But why wonder why wonder
I am green, and it'll do fine
It's beautiful, and I think it's what I want to be

Dude, relax your chicken.

Damn, that would make me shed a tear.  I'm thinking that is why the master touch is no longer sold in the US... could easily start a fire with hot coals in it.

This is an excellent point. I've never thought of that.

I dunno, have you seen all the warnings of imposing death in the Weber's owner's manuals? They even tell you that you could die if you don't wear protective gloves when handling a hot WSM. Seems to me they would just leave a new warning in the manual to cover their arses.

That gets me thinking, though. We could put weights on the bottom shelf or stake it down if cooking on a wind-threatened day. Weber aught to market something like that... Except they don't sell MT's in the U.S. anymore anyway.

The warnings help in a product liability suit, but an inherently dangerous design could still land you in court, at least here in the U.S. Of course, they still use the lid bale on the 26er, so perhaps they are willing to chance it on a light selling product.
