Are the clip-in bowl style ash catchers on the 2015 newer 22's the same as what comes on the newer 26.75's as well?

Yup. The 26 has these tab things on the bottom of the bowl for the ash catch ring to clip in to. Kinda interesting they didn't make a larger ash catcher for the 26.
Together we'll fight the long defeat.

I'd say it makes sense that they try to use the same parts no different sized grills, but then I remember that they make a different sized ash catcher for the 18's.  Hmmmmm...  LOL

Thanks guys. Yeah there is an 18 and a 22 clip in. I thought it looked like the 22 would fit the 26....now I know.

On the 26 the ash bucket sure does fill up quickly.
Would be nice if it was a larger size but I totally
understand the need to limit the parts stream.

One thing I have always loved about Weber is the
consistency over the years of the consumable parts.
A 22 is a 22 and so on.
Even the gassers share parts for years at a time.

The pinch type ash catcher bucket assembly on the 22" and the 26" are the same. I took the bucket off a 22" and tried it on my 26" this morning.  The buckets are exactly the same size and both fit on the 26"ash catcher ring.  Now I say the assemblies are the same with 99.9% certainty as I did not take off the ring to compare those.
