I got a few of the rotisserie spits. I will say its actually great. I used one in my smoker ring that has no slots like the usual rings. I had to make a few cuts here and there on the spit, cuts easy with a small 4 inch grinder and cut-off wheel.
What I really like is no forks, no stabbing meat, everything just sits in place, easy.

Thanks for the action shot, Dan.  I'm thinking of using this on my WSM.  I've already done the probe wire notch, so just need to enlarge it a bit and drill a hole on the opposite side.  Like you mentioned, not having forks seems like a bonus.

I couldn't get them to ship to me here in NY, nor would they ship to any store near me (ship to store is free) as they said they aren't available in my state, but I was able to ship them to my daughter in DC.  Perhaps it depends on inventory in a regional warehouse.
