That's how long it took to buy a second kettle after buying my performer.  There was a OTS locally for $30 that came with a condiment rack and tool holder.  It was in pretty rough shape, needing at least one handle.  Then, there was the fact that the seller was pretty flaky...so I passed on it.

So, this morning I picked up a newer Black 22.5 OTG for $40 with the premium cover.  It's in great shape, but I don't think the guy EVER cleaned the cooking grate.  It went in the trash and was replaced with a hinged grate.  I know it's not fancy, and I probably paid more than most of you would have for a black 22.5, but it will meet my needs and should make a good addition to the performer when having a few families over.  If a blue 22.5 pops up on CL, I'm gonna have some explaining to do with the wife.

40 for a gold and cover is a great deal all day long. And when you find the blue, offload the black for what you paid, but keep the cover.

I figure I could offload it if a blue shows up.  The blue would look nice next to the brick red.  Kind of a Jayhawk look in the carport...since I'm 20 minutes from KU.  Though I find myself wanting a brownie too.  Man, the Weber bug bit hard!

Not a bad deal at all. I pick those up around that price all day. Make great trade bait and gifts.

Eleven days.!!! That long huh?! I ended up with four. Had an black 18 given to me; three months later the performer, within two weeks the twin 22's arrived. I think I'm committed to a red 22, just waiting to be back in town longer than 24 hrs! Couple of months.

Move the car out of the carport, and you'll have plenty of room for your growing collection.  It's called 'priorities'.

A black OTG is a good Test mule for drilling holes and super hot pizza cooking. Save the pretty grills for special occasions and abuse the crap out of the OTG.
