Photo gallery on the site

Ok members we are going to need a little help here. We want to start a gallery of rare, interesting, and otherwise special to you grills. Since there are hundreds of topics abound I'm asking you to post any kettles that you think would be good additions to the gallery. Any with good stories behind them work too. Just post them here and a link to the original post and photos so we can make this process a bit easier to organize. It's gonna take a while to complete but it should be exciting when finished. Hello,

Yes, it is a Weber & not a knock off.
I believe it is a 1954/55 model. It has one vent in the bowl (earlier models had just one vent in bowl), it has welded trusses to hold the coal and cooking grates (earlier models the grates just laid in the bowl), there is an axle between the wheels (there was no axle on earlier models). It has a lid hook, top grate is chrome plated and heavy duty. Thumbscrews hold the legs on. The red leg cap and leg show very little wear.
Ive been told that "The flatter lid with metal handle, red wheels, thumb screws on leg sockets, long stripped tread on tires, no bottom shelf/tray, All date to the 1954/55 model year."
I believe its all original and I have grilled on it.

Thanks for chiming in and welcome to the site! We'd love to see it on the gallery here. That's why I nominated the post. I've been excited about this vintage weber since it was first posted. I'd love to make a replica of it or better yet find one like yours someday.
