Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

My grail of all grails! What I wouldn't give for a Ranger, especially the burnt orange one! I am over the moon to know that they are still kicking about, maybe there is a chance I will get one some day.

Very very nice find, I really hope you manage to get it.

Tell him you'll replace the slat on his fence too...

Hell, I'd replace his whole fence for him. ;D

Yes, HS.    ;)

This is truly an amazing find.  Be prepared to offer up a promise of a new kettle of his choice, or even a gasser.
Interested in ANY offset handle SJs you may have.

Lol! I'm starting to get the 1000 yard stare too. I drive thru neighborhoods and scan thru the trees and fences lookin for the familiar shapely silhouette of the elusive DFW fruit kettle. In a sea of blacks a glimmer of color may shine thru. They are there. But super rare in north Texas. Good eye spotting that one Sir. 👀

Sending kettle karma your way bro. 🔥🐷⚡🌀🙏🌀⚡🐷🔥

Rang the doorbell again today.  Once again, no answer.  I am figuring if this guy is really as "grumpy" as his neighbor made him out to be, he probably won't answer.  I did leave a note for him with my phone number just in case.  I am going to try again next weekend if I don't hear from him. After that I might have to wait until spring and go for a walk maybe on trash night and hope I bump into him outside.

Are there any documented Rangers here in Australia other than Golly's funny blue one?

3 1/2 year update.  Wasn't able to score this bad boy.  I finally talked to the owner and he wouldn't sell or trade.  He did let me take some pictures of it and not long after stored it inside his basement or garage.  Maybe there will be an estate sale someday.  Anyway, here are the picures:

That's a sweet grill. You can tell it's been kept away from the elements given the condition of the top handle
