The title says it all...

had a friend of mine run across this in Houston and wanted to know if I wanted it...I think I am going to say no, but I have never seen nubbed double rivet handles like this on a kettle.  Anybody else seen anything like this?

Craig

OUCH!!!!!  :o  The handles are most likely homemade. Maybe the bowl is salvageable?

Use the bottom for a planter and the top for a fire pit cover and call it a day.

I think I hear taps in the background.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

I agree, very painful to look at.

I was just surprised at the riveted handles.  Normally, when I think of homemade handles I would just think of someone using a piece of wood and wood screws.  These handles just looked commercial to me.  I don't really have a friggin clue though how much the average joe uses rivets.  I don't have much experience with them.    8)

Sometimes you just need to let the scrapers do their business....

I performed the following hack job on a handle I salvaged:

Somebody needs a visit from some grillfellas for what they done to that kettle... for shame, for shame what kind of man would let that happen?
Looking for--- a yellow mbh any size, sequoia ( I know I am dreaming), avocado any size, brownie any size.

It'd be cool with a black lid if the bowl is salvageable.

Somebody needs to put that grill out of its misery and just crush it. That's sad!!!

Anyone who allows this atrocity to happen to a redhead any Weber Kettle deserves a visit from Paulie...   >:( 8)

I would take it if that poor kettle could find its way up near Fort Worth. Has some parts that could be salvaged.
