I was hoping that Weber would make a copper performer.  Now to save up for the copper bowl and lid to install in a SS cart!

Whoever does that and posts photos of it here may be costing me some money!  LOL   8)

Hmmm...depending on how the Crimson actually looks in real pictures, I might consider doing this...

I just called. I was informed that they will not be available until the end of the year.

I have still yet to call customer service on a replacement bowl for my 2009 black performer (ton of crazing). Wonder if I can work out something in one of these colors - would be willing to pay for the lid if I can get the bowl under warranty.

I would think it would be challenging to get a replacement part for a grill they haven't even sold yet, but I'm definitely in favor of someone trying it.  ;-)

I will wait until they start showing up in stores/available online. I did purchase the newer green bowl and lid a while back for my older green SS performer. I still plan on doing a full restore of the SS performer - the bowl is heavily crazed. Another thing that helps I think is the number of grills I currently have registered with them :)

I got a Wsm mid section for a 2014 with a grommet. It didn't hurt to ask. I even own a OTG with an AU (2014) date code on the vent.

Yes - this will apparently be on all three - 14.5, 18.5, and 22.5. There are some threads on the tvwbb discussing it. It is a small, silicone grommet that sits between the grates.

Hmmm, anyone think it would be worth ordering the grommet for a kettle?

Why, you gonna drill into a kettle? Doesn't make sense.  If you're using any kind of air control, jus run the wires under the lid or through a vent.

For a 2 rack WSM, the grommet hole is a great idea. It shows that Weber listens to their customers..  8)
